You will design a responsive and culturally relevant curriculum for young children through the exploration of authentic materials. You will practice implementing a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences.
Note: The Pre-requisite for the class is ECE 108
Learning Outcomes
- Examine the concept of children’s voices
- Examine the inclusion of diverse and Indigenous cultures into curriculum for children
- Explore creative arts
- Explore children’s emerging literacy and language experiences
- Demonstrate the use of puppets to support children’s holistic development
- Demonstrate the use of flannel stories to support children’s holistic development
- Demonstrate the use of science and math to support children’s holistic development
